This is the view from our window in Frisco, Colorado. When you live in Oklahoma, it really takes your breath away to just walk outside and be surrounded by such beautiful heights. What a blessing to be able to take time away from everyday life and sit in the midst of another part of this world that has other beautiful things to see and experience. To think that all that is amazing about this earth was spoken from my God. And to pick up on a thought from a few days ago, this is the fallen aspect of creation. Sometimes I forget that it is not merely mankind that is fallen but that all of creation suffered from the very first sin. Sitting here in the midst of crisp air, soft breezes and sun shining off blankets of snow, it is hard to imagine the perfection of God as perfect Creator. And even more humbling than this is that, as His redeemed daughter, I will one day stand in the presence of His perfect holiness. Nature cries out to the evidence of an unfathomable, all-powerful God. We are surrounded by the marred aspects of a once perfected glorious creation, but even in this our Father is so good to us to provide colors, textures, sounds and sights in nature that are truly mind-boggling if you take the time to ponder all that we encounter daily. So much of nature is "excess" in our cups that overflow, I'm so thankful to spend a few days saturated with the mountains that truly do cry out the goodness of my God.
